Sarah Palin Is NOT The Mother of Trig

Looks like Ms. Palin has some ‘splaining to do…

Sarah Palin was not pregnant with child.

Her sixteen year-old daughter was.

Checking with the Anchorage High School that Bristol Palin attended, reporters were given word that her family had taken Bristol out of school due to contracting infectious mononucleosis. The amount of time Bristol was absent shifts from five to eight months.

Mono can last anywhere from two weeks to three months, but an eight month infection is a freak oddity. Yet it remains a common excuse given by girls in private & Catholic schools around the nation when pregnancy comes into play. Not the first time, not the last time.

In a perfect world, news like this deception by Sarah Palin would not matter one iota, but Republican “family values” hypocrites need to be called out on their hypocrisy so they can leave the rest of us hypocrites the frack alone. Also, knowing what we know about the conservative faux-Christian Republicans, you would think John McCain would exercise good judgement, and properly investigate Governor Palin for any such indiscretions before announcing her as the VP. The real John McCain is too impulsive to be President.

People like to think the vetting process is secure, and completed months ahead of time, but ABC News has reported otherwise, painting a picture of a quick vetting process for Sarah by a small, but secretive group of McCain’s legal staff. A proper vetting process under those circumstances would only go so far, and the true media vetting process has just begun.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that this story was never properly researched. Palin was never on the National scene for more than a few minutes at a time, and local reporting only goes so far on a governor with an 80% approval rating. However, the motivation to cover daughter’s pregnancy aligns with her political standings. She valiantly did not perform an abortion, but fell into the fundamentalist way of thinking, and covered up for the illicit (but natural) action’s of her daughter.

There could be calls below to delete this information. Calls that this type of information is muckraking and ‘below us’. The truth is not below any progressive, nor any citizen of the world that is one heartbeat away from having Palin as leader of the free world. We simply ask that she be forthright, honest, and not waste our time with such juvenile games that anyone with eyes can see as fabrication.

Bristol Palin rightfully should be able to embrace her child in public as her own, with no shame, and no quarter. And a mother should be just as accepting.

I was fascinated by this rumor. Was. After spending too much time than I’m willing to admit reading up on it I have concluded that Trig is indeed Sarah Palin’s child. I think the most significant evidence is this: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=117egpk&s=4 . This photo, which was taken on Friday, shows that Bristol looks like she is pregnant. Not only that, but more than 4 months pregnant. That would rule her out as the mother of Trig.

  2. Interesting. The jury is out, apparently, but still seems somewhat plausible that Sarah Palin is covering for her daughter. I’d be curious if you find any other good evidence.

  3. RON says:

In that pic Bristol looks like she gained a lot of weight…not PREGNANT! That’s very typical of a woman who has recently given birth…NO? Besides, if she IS pregant..she’s having a baby and not married…YES?

  4. Jones says:

Why does it still seem plausible? Does or does not Bristol Palin look 4 or more months pregnant in the pic? She does to me (much more than 4 months in fact). If you agree then that’s the end of it. If you don’t then I think you’re in denial. The picture is clear.

There is other evidence suggesting it is indeed Sarah Palin’s child, to be sure, but in my opinion that photo is the most concrete evidence I’ve seen.

  5. the narrative is still too vague for me to decide one way or another. Why would Palin fly from Dallas to Alaska if she had already broken water?

  6. Jones, the photo you link to shows the daughter pregnant, plausibly, and this proves nothing at all. When was the photo taken? Perhaps this is the smoking gun that Sarah Palin is covering up her daughter’s illegitimate child because Sarah Palin is obviously not pregnant in this photo. Or maybe this is Bristol Palin’s second child?

If you have a different interpretation, I’d like to hear it.

I agree with you that, if true, under any other circumstances this would not matter one little bit. It’ll be interesting to see how the McCain campaign responds to this. If they even do.

About going back to work 3 days after giving birth. It’s my understanding based on having had two babies of my own, that the medical person won’t release the mother for work until after the first postpartum checkup, which in most cases is 4 to 6 weeks after giving birth. Plus, who would even want to go back to work so soon, assuming you’re even physically able to. Think episiotomy stitches. (Sorry, Seth; but at least I spared you from attempting an ASCII of said stitches right here on your blog.)

And as far as postpartum weight goes, I only have my own experiences. The first time, I lost the baby weight plus some within a very short period of time. The second time, not so much. I was in terrible shape and it took me a good year to get close to where I was before getting pregnant. Like I said, these are just my own experiences, neither of which I would judge someone else on. I only mention in it response to the above comments.

  8. Jones says:

    Seth,

The photo was taken Friday. If you look closely you can see a woman putting makeup on McCain. Nearby his wife is standing. She is wearing the same clothes from the rally at which Palin was introduced. So is Palin and her daughters.

I suggested earlier that Bristol looks more than four months pregnant (I should have said more than 4 1/2 months pregnant). Actually, I think she looks much more than 4 1/2 months into a pregnancy. If the looks are right, then she could not have given birth less than 4 1/2 months ago.

But I can’t rule it out completely that Bristol’s extra weight is due to a recent (as opposed to current) pregnancy.

  9. Jones says:

I am right: Palin has just confirmed that her older daughter is pregnant.

  10. Paul says:

Bristol is the mother of Trig. Bristol is NOT currently pregnant. She is wearing a pillow. She will “suffer” a miscarriage, the Palin family will blame Bristol’s “stress” from the press scrutiny she is receiving, and the Republican conservative base will be even MORE sympathetic.

  11. Interesting theory. I guess we’ll see. Something is still odd about the whole scenario, but also it isn’t really that relevant to governing ability. By now I’m used to conservatives being hypocrites about sex and sexuality.

  12. Ken says:

Interesting that the photographic evidence of Palin not pregnant was removed. I just now started researching this possibility, and I must admit the evidence does not point toward Palin as the mother of Trig. They say the latest Bristol could have become pregnant with her “current pregnancy” is May of 2008. I know plenty of mothers who have children ten months apart, all the doctors tell you to be careful after giving birth because it is very easy to become pregnant AGAIN shortly after giving birth.

I have two little kids, and can tell you that in the picture linked to by Jones, Sarah is acting more like a Grandma, than a mother. Why is Bristol always holding the baby and not Sarah’s husband? Also in that picture, it is near impossible to tell HOW pregnant Bristol is because of the fit and color of her dress. I would say the clearer evidence is how Sarah looked in the months leading up to her “giving birth” yet it is pretty hard to find any pictures despite her being a public figure…coincidence? I not ready to say, all i can say is open your eyes to the possibility

I have down a lot of reading on this subject because it is actually bizarre in a world where bizarre is common. Have you ever known a woman who was pregnant, then had the baby only to have people question whether there was ever a pregnancy? Probably not because it is usually very obvious (except in women who are obese). In this case, it was not obvious. Her own workers would never have known she was ‘pregnant’ has she not told them, there are no photos of her looking even a little pregnant, etc.

I have looked and looked for something, somewhere that proves this rumor is nothing but a rumor… and the more I look, the more I believe that she did not have this baby.

as a parent of a down’s child i see this:
there is no direct emotional connection between sarah and trig. noted above, appearing like grandma, not mother.
my bond with my son is so strong we’re almost attached.
i’d say photos of a politician need to dug up of this period of time.
