Scientists Oppose Move on Grizzlies
A group of 269 scientists asked the Fish and Wildlife Service not to lift protections given to the Yellowstone grizzly bear by the Endangered Species Act.
-a placeholder for discussion of the spectacular movie, Grizzly Man, which I finally got to see last night. The 50 minute documentary starring Richard Thompson & cohorts during the making-of-the-movie soundtrack was quite good as well. In fact, I might watch it again.

You finally saw Grizzly Man and said you liked it but man...you gotta mention the crazy guy screaming obscenities over and over that kinda ruined it for me. How many times in a documentary can a socially inept bear lover scream "fuck!" into the camera? I didn't count but I wish his obscene vocabulary was more diverse, especially in front of the camera.
his entire vocabulary was sort of suspect, true. If you get down to it, I'm not sure really what he was protecting the bears against, so it isn't like he had a nuanced, deep understanding of the universe.
